Logina Phillips Design

After sending out more portfolios/Cvs to design companies, I received a reply from Australian print/textile company Longina Phillips wanting to ask me further questions, after a few more emails where exchanged they have offered me the opportunity to do some freelance work for them for various clients, I don't start work for them until after hand in but I'm very excited to have some work in the pipeline!

Final Business Card Design!

Here is the final design I have settled on!

I decided the blue was far too over bearing on the pink and that the design should be simple and speaks for it self without having lots of different colours. I feel this design works well with the stylistics of my portfolio and self promotion.

I'm unsure wether the font choice will be effected by the other colours surrounding it, so before I make a decision I wish to see how it will be effected.

I feel the Minion typeface in regular works best with the banner, for readability, its shaping along the ribbon has a sense of slight quirkyness.

Experimenting with the back of the card and how it works with the front and displaying the nessacary information.

this is the back design I'm favoring the most currently, its simple but compliments the front with the small ribbon illustration.

Here it is on blue, I feel that while the front works well in blue, the back lacks definition.

I think the slight bold addition to the W/E adds a slight definition needed to the information.

Success! After sending out many emails to different illustration based studios and agencies I received a reply last night from Paper & Cloth offering me a interview/portfolio chat, we're still discussing when this will happen and where but I'm very excited about possible employment! While I'm currently not in the process of creating a website as I feel I'm not sure where I want to go regarding my approach to design, I have decided for now to create a Behance online portfolio and a seperate portfolio blog while decide.
